If something seems too good to be true…

Back in October, I wrote about how some of the homes featured on Flip This House in Atlanta had not sold, in spite of a portrayal to the contrary on television.

I even checked back in December to see if they had sold - yet they had not.

Well our local Fox affiliate has broken a two-part story in video that details what a sham the whole thing was (as if there was any doubt).

Part One

Part Two

If the allegations are true - I know of one so-called real estate investor who will soon get really acquainted with a 6′ x 9′ piece of state-owned real estate.

Doug,

Thank you for putting this out there for us. I wish I could tell you I was shocked…

Thank you for letting the rest of us know about this, I suspected that this guy was not legit because his numbers did not make sense. I recently wrote a blog about it which had this investor in mind. You are welcome to read it if you like at http://activerain.com/blogsview/96425/Flip-This-House-Can

Lets wait until the jury finds him guilty of this. Just because he is black does not mean that his company cant make the profits that he has listed. I bet most of you believe in the white guy in the first season.

>seattlechris - if Richard Davis had been in Georgia, I would have researched his claims, as well.

And if the homes they say had sold were still on the market, I would have reported that.

It’s not a black/white thing.

It’s a right/wrong thing.

IT DIDNT TAKE LONG BEFORE THE RACE CARD WAS THROWN OUT, BWAAHAHHAHA
LOOOOSERS!

Thats what you say, but race is always a issue. Do you think that all homes on those show sell that fast? You are correct its not a black or white thing, its a real life home investment business thing.

>seattlechris - Race is always an issue to those who make it an issue.

I couldn’t care less about the race… and I stand by my statement that if Richard Davis lived in Georgia, I would have researched his claims, as well.

For the record, not all of Trademark Properties flips were reported as sold in the first season… and yes, I am skeptical of ANY of those shows when they report a profitable sale at the end of the program.

Seems that you are making it a larger than it is.

Something to say?
